Apply for Service

Any potential member of United Cooperative Services can apply for service either over the phone or in person at any of the seven United offices.

Prospective members will need to supply a customer service representative the following information:

Name of person applying for service

           Daytime and evening phone numbers

           Billing and service address

Social security number of all adults in the household

Driver’s license of all adults in the household

United will conduct a credit check at the time of service application. Deposits are waived for satisfactory credit report results.  Once all of these requirements are met and a new member has been approved, service to an existing meter can be turned on within one business day.

Potential members wanting new service in an area with no existing meter or utility lines will need to call into their local United office and make an appointment through the Customer Service Department.  Brand new service can be put in place within an average of 7-10 working days under normal working conditions.
