2008 Load Curtailment Program

United Cooperative Services, in conjunction with its wholesale power provider, Brazos Electric Cooperative, is offering a program that would pay you for curtailing electric load during the summer months this year (June through September 2008).

At this point in time, United is wishing to enroll only medium to large commercial accounts (demand accounts with KW demand greater than 250 KW).  Depending on the success of this year's program, it may be extended to other load classes going forward.  A letter was mailed at the end of March 2008 to each member that qualifies to be involved in the 2008 program.

Another advantage of being involved in the 2008 program is that you will automatically be entitled to review your usage and demand profile each day via a secure web site allowing you not only to see the results of participating in the program but also allow you the ability to learn more about your electric usage.
